Serving in nonprofits among the world’s most vulnerable is an honor.
It’s also complex.
I've worked as a journalist, with articles published in the Washington Times, the Dallas Morning News and the Marshall New Messenger.
Then for the past 14 years, my husband and I lived and worked in Indonesia. It taught me so much about indigenous voices, trauma and resilience.
Now I combine both my journalistic skills and my cross cultural experience to write about the complexities of nonprofit work, based with an organization called Paraclete Mission Group.
